My name is Beth Hupfer, and I am an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at High Point University in High Point, North Carolina. My BA in philosophy is from Furman University (2008), my MA in philosophy is from Virginia Tech (2011), and my PhD in philosophy is from Rice University (2017).
AOS: Social/Political philosophy, Normative/Applied Ethics AOC: Environmental Philosophy, logic, and feminist theory Overall, my research tends to be in the space where ethics overlaps with social and political philosophy, focusing in particular on distributive justice. I analyze personal, group, and governmental obligations towards others and the ways that philosophical thought can have significant impact on people’s lives. |
